KGen is a free keyword generator that helps you optimize your web pages.

KGen may sound like a rapper, but it’s actually short for Keyword Generator, a Firefox add-on that shows you the keywords and their ranking on any web page that you visit.

It can help you to optimize your own web pages for keywords or see what keywords websites that are competitive to your niche are using.

You can easily select these keywords and paste them on your clipboard by clicking on ‘add selected words to clipboard.’ You can also see suggestions for related keywords by right-clicking on any keyword on the sidebar’s list.

KGen is freeware. Download KGen here.

After you download KGen and restart your computer, you can open KGen in a sidebar by View > Sidebar > KGen.

Then click ’scan it’ at the bottom of the sidebar to see the keywords on whatever web page you have open. You will see how many times each keyword is repeated and also see the weight assigned to the keyword

You can also find a KGen user manual, FAQ and troubleshooting on the KGen website.
